Single Hydraulic remote controls all the functions of the scraper. When fully retracted the bowl is lowered into the cut as shown. When cylinders are extended 50%, the scraper raises out of the cut — the Apron closes by gravity, capturing material within the Bowl. When the cylinder is extended 100%, the Bowl rotates over while the Apron moves away — allowing material to quickly unload.
Heavy duty three section blades will cut the toughest of materials. This machine comes standard with a 6″ corner blades and a 8″ drop center blade. If you want a flat finish across the entire 82″ width of cut, simply remove the 8″ center blade and replace with a 6″ center blade (P/N A45010-6).
The rugged Apron has a viewing window on both sides to see into the Bowl from the tractor seat while loading. A large decal on the front of the Apron allows you to easily reposition the scraper for a repeatable depth of cut.
Featuring large 16.5 x 16.1 rear tires. These tires provide better flotation in softer condition while the longer rolling radius allows the tire to keep climbing rather than pushing. This tread pattern provides excellent grip on side slopes to keep you making the cut. The tire/wheel combination has been used on the 9.5 cu.yd. scraper for over 20 years. Large 3.5″ spindles with heavy 8-bolt hubs.
Convenient tie down loops on the front and rear of the machine to chaining down with minimal paint damage.
The moldboard (“frog”) is fully supported the entire width of the scraper on both the top and bottom. Providing superior strength and protection while hitting debris during loading.
Steep dump angle allows you to unload heavy clay soil quickly and thoroughly.
The 50CS scraper is simple to operate, while retaining all the functions of a full-sized scraper. The entire bowl moves within the mainframe by means of a heavy-duty actuating frame & linkage system. Allowing the operator complete control with one hydraulic remote.
This 5 cubic yard unit will feature the popular Ashland bolt-on swivel hitch. A custom fabricated double-lip design is stronger than any cast coupler or pintle hitch. Offering more strength than any other off-the-shelf hitch typically seen in this class of scraper. Offering up to 7.5” of cut depth with the drawbar set to 18”.
The bowl is formed from high grade steel with a top lip to help reduce boil-over. Performing the whole process of cut, carry, and dump, this bowl is built to last. Engineered for top loading, grading, stripping sod, and landscape projects. With a 33 degree dump angle, you can place dirt right where it’s needed.
All Ashland frames consist of an amalgamation of plate steel and tubing. Our small-sized units have added heft where it’s needed most. Multiple pieces are adjustable so the machine can be tuned to your exact needs.

The spindles featured on the 50CS are utilized on much larger Ashland scrapers. To commonize parts and cut waste, Ashland has added a 3.5” diameter spindle. That is nearly 1.5x the size of an original 50 series scraper. This trend is continued through the hubs, tires, and wheels.
