Born in the dirt…
Founded in 1953 in Ashland, WI as Buchli Enterprise, the company started out of demand for earth moving equipment.
It quickly gained a reputation for innovation and quality during the post WWII tractor boom. The product line contained scrapers, dozer blades, land planes, root rakes, stump grinders, dump trailers, and snow plows.
As technology improved, Buchli slowly focused most of its attention to pull-type scrapers – firmly solidifying its position as a leader in the agriculture and industrial earth moving market.
Go big to grow big…
As tractors continued to grow in size and horse power, so too did the scrapers pulled behind them. The consolidation of farm land also created a need for higher capacities and wider cuts.
In 1970, Buchli fully transitioned to Ashland Industries and the company continued to innovate its product line to meet the demands of farms and contractors. Scraper capacities swelled to 15 cu. yds. and were engineered to be pulled in tandem.
Development continued over the next 20 years producing advanced dolly wheel, direct mount, and dump-style scrapers for multiple markets and unique customers.
Do More…
The last 20 years has been a renaissance of sorts for Ashland Industries. The convergence of laser and GPS technologies in land leveling has brought about a surge in demand for Ashland scrapers and new water management regulations have steered farmers back into the one solution that can bring their land into compliance…the scraper.
The cat-and-mouse game between high horsepower tractors and high capacity scrapers continues to play-on as horsepower is starting to exceed 700hp. Ashland Industries, through its partnership with Case IH, has focused on producing products that maximize productive earth moving efficiencies while preserving the integrity of the customers biggest investment, their tractor. Every scraper is engineered to optimize the productive output of a set horsepower range of tractor.
Our motto is Do More. From maximizing the productive capabilities of our customers’, to providing uncompromising customer service. Every strategy and tactic is first passed through that mantra. If it doesn’t allow the you to Do More, it’s not a priority. The customer is our north star and they are guiding us towards exciting new opportunities and products.
